OPI Spiderman Swatches + Review

Hey everyone!

I know, I know, I dropped off the planet. I’m sorry! With about 4 weeks to go until I’m finished Uni [finally], I’ve been seriously busy.

Today I’ve got three polishes from the OPI Spiderman collection. As a geek girl, I’m all about the superheroes. I’m not a huge Spiderman fan [Wolverine and Thor are my bros], but nail polish and comic books together? Yes, please, now, thank you.

First up is Call Me Gwen-Ever.

This is three coats, no top coat.

My camera freaked out a little with this colour and made it a little brighter than it actually is. It’s really a dusty coral colour with a yellow undertone. It’s not a bad colour, I’m just not sure it’s the ideal colour for this collection.

Next is Just Spotted The Lizard.

Three coats, no topcoat.

Just Spotted The Lizard is a duochrome metallic polish, that shifts from green to gold to teal and blue. It’s also the Chanel Peridot dupe. I found it a little bit brushstroke-y but that’s quite common in metallic polishes.

Lastly today I’ve got Into The Night.

Three coats, no top coat. Into The Night is a dark metallic plus with a purple undertone. It is a frost but the amount of shimmer helps balance the frost factor out.

All in all, I was a little surprised with the colour choices for this collection. One colour that definitely should have been included was red. Come on, everyone knows Spiderman is all about the red and blue! Call Me Gwen-Ever could have been substituted for a strong red creme, that would have matched a little better I think.

What do you think of the collection?
